Forgotten Film

To escape the land of digital media, I sometimes dive into more analogue documentary means – namely 35mm photographic film.

I love the aesthetic of film so much that I try to emulate it on my bigger cameras (my 5D, 1DXiii and C70), but NOTHING will match the authentic thrill, nostalgia and magic of receiving developed film back from a lab.

Over the summer, I shot a pile of my personal life on film – some colour and some black and white. While there’s still a few rolls of Ektachrome 100 off being developed, I wanted to share a look at some of my favourite frames that I just received.

The colour frames are Fuji Superia 400 and the Black and White are Ilford Hp5 400. Both developed at box speed, no push or pull.
